Meetings are an integral part of every organization, even in traditional industries like food production. When information is properly documented, decisions are made faster, processes become more transparent, and responsibilities clearer.

We discussed this with Noemi, the CEO of Seiler Käserei AG. The family business employs 35 people, with an additional 32 employees working at the subsidiary Molki Meiringen. In the interview, she explains how meetings used to be conducted, how she discovered Meeting Metrics, and why the tool is now a quiet but valuable companion at the meeting table.

Who are you and what do you do?

I lead Seiler Käserei AG, a family business with 35 employees. Additionally, we oversee the subsidiary Molki Meiringen with another 32 employees. I grew up in this environment; our work combines traditional craftsmanship, regional responsibility, and a focus on the next generation.

How did your meetings used to run?

Our meetings mainly took place as monthly department head sessions. Each department reported on current topics, and I provided updates on management and sales developments.

A central problem was minute-taking. Previously, we had a responsible person for this, but during meetings the main phone remained unattended. Therefore, we stopped taking minutes, which resulted in about a year without any minutes being recorded.

The biggest progress for me was the ability of Meeting Metrics not only to summarize content but also to recognize implicit points and automatically create tasks.

How do you use Meeting Metrics?

I came across the tool through a Google search. Today, we mainly use it for our department head meetings and occasionally for other discussions. We deliberately maintain a lean meeting culture and want to keep it that way.

My first impression was very positive. The software understands Swiss German surprisingly reliably, and the speaker recognition works well. The most important content is clearly summarized. Of course, I carefully review everything because sometimes individual contributions are missing or passages are shortened due to length limits. Overall, however, the benefits clearly outweigh the drawbacks.

What has changed because of it?

Meeting Metrics primarily brings more commitment to my workday without additional effort. The essential work happens automatically in the background.

Our meeting culture itself has hardly changed, which I greatly appreciate. Since only a phone lies on the table, the atmosphere remains familiar. The team is repeatedly surprised at how reliably the tool works.

And personally? Your outlook.

For teams considering using Meeting Metrics, I would recommend simply trying it out. The added value is immediately apparent and requires little effort.

A principle has guided me for a long time: the 80/20 motto. Perfection looks different for everyone, and often a smaller effort achieves a greater impact. Meeting Metrics ensures exactly that in our meetings.
